At the start of the pandemic, Engineers and Geoscientists BC was tasked to solve a major issue - in-
person exams and proctoring being cancelled due to public health concerns. These exams are critical for
applicants in their journey to obtain licensure. Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s team didn’t want to
take the “wait and see” approach and saw an opportunity to work with Assessbank to modernize
technical exam testing practices.
We came in with an incredible ask – to get an exam platform set up and running within 2 months. We
knew it was a difficult task and timeline and other companies essentially said it was impossible. When
presented with the scenario however, Assessbank’s team immediately offered suggestions on how to
make this happen. We knew right away that Assessbank was the team we wanted to work with to
implement our vision.
Assessbank’s team has worked with us closely to get our technical exam program running, with over 150
unique technical exam topics every session and to date, over 1,600 candidates have been able to sit for
their exams in 2021 across Canada. As our exam program continues to grow and as a result, so does our
technical needs, Assessbank continues to keep up-to-date with our changing business case so that our
program can meet the growing demands. Their team works quickly to get custom tools up and running
smoothly, and are always offering practical advice on solving a problem.
We are so pleased with the results from Assessbank and the business relationship that we have
developed – we’re excited for it to continue!
